It's about 18 wide by 31 deep...but a very complex room with a vaulted ceiling, dormers on one side, stairwell down the back...all custom treating now via Rives Audio, Ne Plus Ultra in Austin and RPG

I will say if you don't have a treated room...you're missing out. And it's not that expensive...

A beautiful system in a beautiful room! The Rockports sure do look more elegant in your room that the Wilson's did.

Hi Jfrech

I would echo the comments of other posters on what a beautiful room and system you have. It seems you have put a great deal of thought and effort into system components and room interaction in a combination not often seen. Seems like the kind of synergy most of us seek.

In seeking to upgrade my much more modest system (TW Acustic table, VAC int amp, Macbook/ARC Dac8 and Tannoy DC10T, Audioquest), I have researched almost all the high end speaker brands and have decided on Rockport Atrias - should have them in a few weeks. They fit my system objectives, room, budget and other components. But while I was auditioning at the closest Rockport dealer (Omaha NE) to my home near Kansas City, I also had the opportunity to hear their best system anchored by Rockport Altairs like yours. I think they were the best speakers I have ever heard to this point.

Happy listening. I am looking forward to my own Rockport experience (albeit on a more modest scale) soon.

Jim

Jim, I grew up in Columbia, MO. I get to KC from time to time. Honestly, you'll love your Atrias, my dealer here has them, you're not missing that much vs my Altairs. I bet your system will sound absolutely fabulous. All the best, let me know what you think when your Rockport's get installed...They will take a few weeks to sound their best...I'd play em 24x7 for the first few weeks...
