Default Incorrect height of Satisfy arm on Emotion

Hi there,

Recently I have been able (finally) to have my Clearaudio Emotion Black sing mainly because I used cables that have smaller connectors. Trying to plug my XLO Reference 3 RCA cable is a no-go as the connector is too big... Well, in fact, the center of the top RCA connector is too close to the plinth and does not allow my cable to be securely plugged. I believe that my dealer set the position of the arm too high; by lowering it by about 1 or 2 mm, I am sure my cable would fit. See pictures attached. The picture of the back view of the connector is one I found on another forum, but it is an Emotion too. But you clearly see the machined radius clears the bottom of the plinth, which is not the case with mine.

What if I try to loose the allen set screw and move the arm down a bit? I don't know much about TT so I wonder if I should go back see my dealer for adjustment.

Thanks for your input,

Serge

Serge.......Sure enough, the big external cover on the male RCA terminal was a serious bottleneck. Good to know you found a way around the issue.

The tonearm should be level when the cartridge is in the groove. It would be serious design flaw if you would be prevented from this setup with the cables plugged in.
