What happened?

Did they get feedback that it looked funny so they decided to throw an extra tube onto it?

I would like to think they found the fourth tube sounded better.

Anyway, it is certainly breaking from the traditional McIntosh appearance.

They need to design the side of it to emulate the front as on the MC275 and put the inputs and speaker connections on the tilted [what is now the] front panel and make that the side panel. That way the visual feel of the MC275 is retained.

They can do a lot better than the existing tube cages.

Understand from several who saw the MA252 at RMAF -- looked quite better in person. I'd definitely remove the cages to show off stenciled stock tubes or ones' favorite stash.

Best Sirs,

Bob

I think McIntosh should submit photos of prototypes to us at AudioAficionado to get our opinions before releasing things to the public.

We are a large audience and have good ideas.

After all, we are people who have purchased their stuff in the past and will probably continue to do so.
