Default Butcher Blocks... I am experimenting with some.

I have made some nice end and coffee tables out of some 100plus year old 6x6 cedar wood and I cut it down to a 2x2 size and glue them together. I think I will give it a try for some of my TT and amps and speakers
I will run some test with REW and see/hear if there is any change in sound
Great idea you have and I will let you guys know how it goes. I like this wood as its light and sound absorb any vibrations and sound

Although Ive never been into wood isolation platforms per se, they do have a following. The Mapleshade Audio products were quite popular back in the day, perhaps still are. Obviously more expensive than DIY approach but for those who lack the time, motivation or skills to work with wood, here are their offerings. https://www.mapleshadestore.com/aird...eplatforms.php
