+1 on this and agreed,..for most mortals we have to limit our toys if you will and make hard choices..

Up to 2006 and 2007, I used to have a stable of pristine Tenshodo solid brass handmade and other collectible Union Pacific HO locomotives (Big Boys, Challengers, 4-12-2 "Union Pacifics", etc...) and some rolling stock and plans to have a grand layout someday. I thought John Allen was a genious and wished for his skills at creating those believable miniature worlds...) at certain point I had to make a choice between trains and higher end audio, so the trains went and we are where we find ourselves today...

Still miss the trains but music is more important, at least for me, daily...

Dave - those are great. You should host a fall meeting of the SEPAS so we can play with your RR.
On your next trip west you should ride the Shay at Georgetown, CO and the CO Railroad Museum in Golden. They are great engines with all the rods flying up and down on the side cranks while only move a few mph. Most impressive.

Glenn, I love the little ride on the 'Loop' between Georgetown and Silver Plume, ridden it many times. As for seeing Shay's in all their glory there is but one place, Cass, WV.

Dave - Great!! We go to the Waterwheel Restaurant/Grist Mill B&B in Warm Springs, VA on occasion (great, relaxing place with excellent food) and they are only 45mi apart. We are planning our fall-foliage trip at the moment. Thanks for the tip.
