Share your SF speaker (and seating) measurements

I am interested in how other SF owners are positioning their speakers - and how they would characterize the resulting sound in terms of tone, soundstage, depth, etc.

My dedicated listening room is small (11' x 14' x 9') and slightly asymmetrical. A bit of a challenge, but not too bad in terms of dimension ratios.

After months of trial and error (and 2 rolls of masking tape) I have settled on the following positioning for my 2 GHs (Guarneri Homages).

Distance from front wall (from wall to rear of speaker): ~2.5'
R speaker side to R wall: ~2'
L speaker side to L wall: ~4'
Distance between speakers (from inner side to inner side): ~5'
Distance from speakers to listening position: ~7'
Toe in: speakers aimed at ears, L speakers a bit straighter to improve soundstage balance (because of asymmetry).

This is not an optimal arrangement, the speakers are closer than I would like (just about 6' from center to center) and there is more air for the L speaker (esp on the sides) than the R, but with room treatments (esp first reflection points) I am getting exactly the tone I like - at the expense of a wider soundstage.

I could get more depth by moving the speaker forward, but they'd be smack in front of the door - an accident waiting to happen .

What's your set-up like? And what do you like/dislike about it?

The setup for my Guarneri M's would be considered "near-field", more or less. My room is 14x17 and I am using the long wall.

Speaker to speaker 10ft
Speaker line to listening position 8ft
Speaker to listening position 9.8 ft to within 1/8 of an inch.
Speaker to side wall 3.1ft
Speaker to front wall 2.5ft

Advantages are: Huge soundstage extending from wall to wall in my 14x17 room. Smooth bass response since listening position out of major room bass modes being close to the wall and very little wall reinforcement due to adequate space for speakers from nearby walls. Smooth treble and midrange due to minimal early reflections and flutter echoes due to toe in of the speakers whose tweeter lines cross behind the listening position about 2 feet back and face away from side walls at a steep angle. Ample "elbow room" for all instruments across the soundstage due to 10 ft spread of speakers. "Palpable" images due to precise focus and toe in of the speakers to within 1/8 of an inch.

Soundstage depth would be even better if there was no entertainment center behind the speakers.
