FYI, under side of Gryphon Mephisto is full of screw heads and ventilation slots.
I doubt there are space to make full contact with four of Stillpoints Ultra 5.
Removing feet is not an option.
To Put Ultra5 under existing feet seems to be only option. That will make unsightly high-heeled looking.
Silver high heels with black socks..yike.

TOGA - did you end up resolving the issue?
i think mephisto should have enough space for stillpoints under chassis. not too many bolts.

Yes, there are so many bolts, with rather big heads.
I think Cerabase s smaller contact area will have better chance.
For now I keep it the way it is. Which bring another issue, I will have to raise my center speaker up.

Could it be that power supply work less in medium mode and have some more juice left for punch?

With Q7 I believe I still hear pure class A all the time even set in Medium bias.

Toga
With 50 watts pure class A you will be listening to pure class a 90% of the time with most speakers.
If you feel more punch with 50% it could be that your AC supply is less stressed. Real class A in those amounts can actually lower AC supply and keep it down, depending of the stiffness of you house AC supply.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I am very interested in the Boulder 3050 / 3060 white paper. Could you please PM or email to me?

Regards,
Tony

Well, I am here.
I got lost in AA and forgot where I was,
Just this week. I got a chance to try Pandora in my system once again.
This time in a much better set up than last time in 2013.
Kubala Elation power cords feed Pandora.
Source were Accuphase 900 with Purist Dominus XLR into Pandora.
From Pandora , Stage 3 Gryphon XLR into Mephisto.
Speakers were Magico Q7.

This is the quietest preamp I ever heard. Just slight constant noise out of tweeter. Much quieter
Than from Pass XS Pre in similar environment.
It took 1 hours to warmed up. But they were never been warm to the touch.

Pandora was very accurate and neutral. From lowest bass to top treble, very smooth sounding.
Midrange was not that rich and bold as some tubes do.
Overall I liked it a lot. But I like more when using Burmester preamp into Mephisto.
More richness in the mid band.

Toga
