Default It could be a long night...

My Ref 6 arrived today. Trying to figure out how to get 600 hours on it tonight... Maybe take a run through a wormhole?

Congratulations on your new Ref 6 preamp! I'm sure you'll listen and enjoy. I was told by ARC that my Ref 5SE didn't need 600 hours for "burn in" and sound better after at least 200 plus hours. I was told the "600 hours" was carried over by owners of the older Reference series preamps that did require 600 hours. The older electrolytic caps aren't used in the new equipment and don't require such a long capacitor "burn in" anymore. I can confirm after 280 hours the preamp was good to go.

Congrats! What amp are you using? I remember that you sold your Ref150 a while back. Pete

Yes, I sold my ref150 when I bought a ref75. It is on its way back right now from arc in its new 75se status. After I sold my 5se and while waiting for my 6, I thought it would be the perfect time to get my 75 updated. So right now I am using some AudioNote and firstwatt amps. I have to say, the SIT-2 is quite an amp!
