Default So I am looking for an intergrated . . .
I have decided to simplify my small listening room which consists of an Audible Illusions L3 to Inspire amp with a teac ud501 (my old dac got fried) and some b&w cm4' or ls50's All digital source.

I am looking to replace it all (sans dac) with 1 integrated amp. I really want the integrated to have meters so here are a few I came up with





What are some others worth considering? So far I can audition the McIntosh and the Luxman

You might take a look at the BMC integrated. I have the C1 and it is terrific...love the meters too.

So I have to admit the Accuphase is the classiest looking so far and is at the top of my budget but doable. Of course how these sound is the most important thing, I just got struck by all the nice looking meters. (I just finished telling Ivan I don't care what my gear looks like LOL)

Plan is to use a new integrated to drive my Shahinian Compass in my smaller listening room. Like I said I can demo the McIntosh and possibly the Luxman so far. They will total sound different in the listening room of the dealers but still might give me an idea. I'll eventually move the AI and an amp and speakers to be named later into the main room after we rebuild.

The current integrated amplifier offerings from McIntosh like the MA6700-MA8000 are the best sounding and performing units in the history of the company. They have the same output autoformers and differential balanced technology as the MC152 and MC302 amplifiers.

Going to check out some McIntosh gear this week. I am pretty sure the 6700 will be there and get a listen. After that is Luxman, still looking for a way to listen to Accuphase.

Of course dealer listening is not ideal. Everything would sound different at my house, but at least I am going through the motions

I do need to take a trip over, if just to stand in awe of everything there

Figures, I was making trips to Miami and area semi frequently until a few months ago. Now it is Jacksonville and Tallahassee
