You can just get a glimpse of what looks to me to be a 60th Anniversary set in the lounge area at Jimi Hendrix Electric Lady Studios. I saw that Mc-75 and did a double-take. You can also see a McIntosh turntable.

Here's the full article.

The middle piece appears to be a McIntosh preamp -- as identified by the glass tube top -- AKA C2300 or similar. The TT looks like a MT10.

Best Sirs,

Bob

Yep. There are some cool photos in that article. And again at the Electric Lady website. I have heard or read that Jimi had a McIntosh system for himself but I've never seen a picture of it.

I believe I saw McIntosh gear in the Amazon show Bosch, based on the Michael Connelly novels - Detective Bosch is big on jazz

I have researched the man since 1970 when he died on my dad’s birthday. From my checking Jimi did not own McIntosh equipment. He did own several high end tape machines that he lugged around with him to record some of his shows. They can be seen in a few photos. I visited Electric Lady in 1993. I still have the video!

I did a #mcintoshinthemovies hashtag on Instagram. Recently stumbled across Serpico and The Only Living Boy In New York. Add your pics!

To my understanding, I agree as well, and if you think about it, he really was never in the same place for very long, bringing the challenge of moving Mac gear around the world and honestly don’t think he ever had a place of his own except maybe the rented place in England they turned into a museum
