Thanks guys for the recommendations. I do love the Maggies but those truly require the precise room and I don't have that.

Then try a pair of Vandersteens. They sound great with tubes also

I'm very happy (ecstatic?) with my Harbeths being driven by my C22/MC375VI. Plenty of detail and a gorgeous tone with surprising grunt on the low end. With the odd low-level tweak here or there this is an end-game system for me.

I currently have the Triton 1's with C2600 pre and MC452 amp. the Preamp is brand new and needs time to break in. With the c47 in the mix its a tad bright at loud levels. Hoping the tube c2600 will mellow out a bit.

I heard the 803-D3 I think. Sounded wonderful. But kind of $$$
Right now, I love the combo of C2600 and MC275 along with B&W CM10S2. However, my current system is missing some tight bass. I am planning to upgrade speakers to B&W 803D3 in summer. I am debating weather to get MC452 or to get another MC275 and go monoblock....

With the Triton 1's try raising the rear spikes a bit and rake the speaker forward. When I was using the Triton 5's I had to use the same setup procedure as with my Vandersteens and that got rid of the top end sizzle. Make sure the center of that tweeter is at ear level and not higher. If that doesn't work try Vandersteen ,Nola or Aerial. To my ears B&W would be going in the other direction. Another great speaker with a less detail voicing but harder to find is Living Voice.

Hey...let me make sure I understand this right. So basically tilt the speakers forward a bit? I have mine on the rubber feet as I have them on hardwood.

Another tip I read was NOT toeing in speakers? I tried that and maybe a tiny less bright. Not sure. I honestly love the Tritons but I think my room is just too small.

Think if I had another 3 feet or so that would help in other ways too.

I second that. Picked up a basically new condition pair from someone who upgraded to D3s for less than half of retail. Impossible to beat the value and they sound phenomenal.

The two scenes in the audio store are the best part of the movie in my opinion. If you can't afford them F'ing Finance them

Hi!

I'm new here and my system may not reach some of the high levels as some, but it sounds very good to me!
I have Magnaplaner MG3.5R speakers I've had for almost 21 years, for my main front speakers. I'm driving them with a McIntosh MC352 amp. I have been a Yamaha fan for a long time and just upgraded my old receiver with a Yamaha 3060. I have the pre-out going to the MC353. I'm using Yamaha center channel speaker. I've got an old Yamaha sub that I'm either going to get a new sub or gut this one and rebuild from scratch with a 12" dual coil speaker. Haven't decided yet. And my rear surrounds are speakers I built myself. Each have two 8 inch woofers, four mid range tweeters and one piezo horn tweeters. System sounds great to me!
