Cable Lifts?
Will my 2.5M Silver Eclipse 8 speaker cables benefit from cable lifts? Floor is one layer of carpet over poured concrete (with rebar). Are lifts snake oil or do they offer an SQ improvement?

I have no idea whether they actually have any impact on SQ. The idea that cable lifts help keep parallel runs of wires/power cords separated and at different levels seems a good idea. Also IMO they improve the appearance of the room.

I also use Wireworld speaker cables and their interconnects but in order to clean and vacuum around and under them I use the ceramic isolaters as cable lifters (also known as isolaters used by the electric companies on the electric poles) gets the cables a good 5"-6" off the floor which aids in cleaning.

So, David Salz Founder/CEO of WW was visiting me in my Cape Cod home many years ago. We were listening to my Burmester/Aida/Grandioso system at the time, which was tri-amped and tri-wired.
I had my triple runs of Platinum Speaker Cables very neatly tied together, on clear acrylic cable elevators. David, with a serious face says “what are those” pointing to the cable elevators. I couldn’t believe he didn’t know what they were, when I started to explain; he kindly interrupted me and says “I know what they are, but why are they under your Platinum Speaker cables?” He then goes on and further explains the dielectric properties of his cables; and why they provide no benefit whatsoever. So, without anything further said; I removed them.
