As to my choice for one and only collector classic that I would have to hold on to for the rest of my life? There is only one for me. 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4.

4-wheel independent suspension, disc brakes, a 3.3-liter V12 tipo 226 quad cam engine and wrapped in the "long nose" version of one of Pininfarina’s best body designs.

I had a 1991 Porsche C2 Turbo bought with 7500 miles, sold at 10K miles and made a small profit. Would be worth 4 times what I sold it. I loved that car, but was mainly garage furniture, so I sold it, huge mistake.
Also had a 1987 Porsche 911 with fake whale tail. Ran great after engine was rebuilt. Lucky to have a great friend who is an excellent Porsche type racing team technician.
I restored a real 1968 Chevelle SS 396 Convertible, sold it 2 years ago. Total rotisserie nut and bolt restoration.
I restored a 1964 Corvette convertible, Triple Black 327 365 solid lifter engine-4 speed, still own it.
I owned a 1974 Datsun 260Z bought used, chick magnet, just ask my wife sold it when first son was born, bought a wrecked 1977 El Camino

I had a friend who needed $$ bad, was selling his pristine 87 Porsche 930 turbo original paint, perfect. wanted $45K. Couldn't do it.

Nice cars.

You might be interested in seeing this one. I have no idea how realistic the price is...

These are always going to hold value

Old Muscle cars are not bringing the big dollars anymore.
Has to do with this (our) generation hitting retirement and newer generation wanting newer Ferrari's Lambo's and McLarens.
Looks very rare Olds but I doubt he will get much over $100K if not less.

I would give both my left nuts for this
Back in High School could have bought these dirt cheap but still were a few grand back then.

That was what Walter Matthau drove in "A New Leaf" - that is unless it had "carbon on the valves" - a running gag in the film.

Beautiful machine though.

Ah yes, carbon on the valves which requires an "Italian Tune Up". Wide open throttle on the highway clears the symptoms right up.
Enzo did not build those cars for Cars and Coffee events but for double duty of a street machine that can easily be raced on the weekends.

"Never run it at less than 5,000 RPM in a forward gear. Ever."

The 275 GTB/4 and the 1955 MB Gullwing are my two favorites. I don't buy cars or motorcycles for investment, only to enjoy on the roads while I own them. I certainly enjoy all of the beautiful cars and bikes that are bought for investment purposes by others and shared with the rest of us at shows and photos on line.

Of all the new cars I've bought over the years, only my 2011 GT3 RS was worth more than I paid for it new when I sold it.
