Sure can and will probably end up finishing this way as that is what I have tried over the last 2 days funnily enough

Those monsters look good. Love the Focal's. Why did you end up removing the panels from behind your listening position? Did you ever get all the tweaking finished?

GIK panels have to be one of my highest bang-for-the-buck audio improvements.
