Default Ammo prices and availability

I am not exactly keeping track but it seems like ammo is slowly starting to come down in prices and increasing in availability? I have not been to a gun store in a while but I am going by online stores I check from time to time. What's the status out there?

I have a buddy who owns a gun store. He said the paranoia after Obama's first election was the best thing that ever happened to his business, He cannot keep ammunition or most of his gun selection stocked, when in fact, no laws have been passed to make anything more difficult to get.

Local market availability has improved somewhat but not necessarily in all calibers. Pricing dropped a bit but then again, not all calibers. Seems that .22, .223, .40 & .45 ACP still haven't dropped in price here.

Reloading supplies have NOT dropped at all. I think that is due to increased demand.

Yeah, I've noticed a bit of a drop in some calibers.

Not to sound like a smart ass here, but I have a collection of about 10 rifles and 50 or so handguns. I hate hunting and feel like shit when I kill something, but do enjoy target shooting and the occasional casual killing of hobos. Having said that, I think I have maybe 200 rounds of ammo for the odd calibers, and perhaps 500 or so for the popular ones; .45, 9MM, .357, etc. I feel completely armed. How much does everyone else store? I am honestly curious.

On another note, Time Windows Sevens? As a previous owner of the originals at one time, I would love to see a picture and hear your impressions!

Local shops are still limiting customers on quantity. Even good customers of long standing. Still little or no .223R, 9mm or .45ACP to speak of. However, some CCI LR primers showed up about three weeks ago. Bullets are almost impossible to find in any reasonably popular caliber.
