did some reshuffling of racks today.
Have never been a fan of too much equipment between speakers, so today decided to move 2 racks to the side of the room. I was correct, soundstage opened right up with everything better placed on the stage. Bass has also improved somewhat. Looks like i may have to get an electrician in now to run some new power point to the side of the room. First will love with it for some time to make sure i do like the look IMG_7409.jpg IMG_7412.jpgIMG_7413.jpg IMG_7417.jpgIMG_7421.jpgIMG_7422.jpg Last edited by jdandy; 03-05-2014 at 08:59 PM. Certainly looks a lot cleaner, John BTW I have done some reading on optimum placement in your room for your turntable. Basically you need to find out what the resonant frequency of your TT is and make sure it doesn't sit in a room peak of that particular frequency. Also bear in mind that the plinth, the platter, and the arm all have different resonant frequencies. I'm sure you know how to do that, but if you don't ... I can lend you my mike and sound card.

A little upgrade.
a nice DHT pre amp with 2 built in MC phono stages. Very high gain, but is also fully adjustable with impedance matching to match perfectly with any amp out there. I introduce the Supratek Grange IMG_7979.jpg IMG_7990.jpg IMG_7991.jpg |
