Go straight to the Maestro, if you can. I saw a pair in person they were insane. Didn't really listen I didn't have much time and they had just gotten them in so they weren't broken in or correctly set up yet. Plus I didn't want to listen to them I probably would have wanted them and I can't afford them LOL.

Sorry, but I would have bought Bose 901's had it been my money. My gosh, what a soundstage!

Focals wouldn't stand a chance against these babes.

No amount of supposed technological advances in the Scala Utopia EVO are worth $20k more than the discontinued Scala V2 Utopia. The prices I've seen from dealers that have new V2's left are a downright bargain compared to the prices for the EVO ($40K). Based on economics alone, getting a pair of left-over Scala V2 is a very smart decision, in my opinion.

Thank you Jayvis, this is what I also think. I am sure the EVO sound better, not sure if 20k better though. I am happy to step up into the Utopia series and start experiencing it.
Now, why the hell does it take so long to get speakers from Florida to California... :-)

It does seem odd that it takes two weeks. Wonder what freight company they're using? Did they build a wall around California already? Please make sure to let us know what you think after break-in. Keep in mind that most Focal speakers need 20-40 hours to reach their full potential.

Are you referring to the used market or the authorized Focal dealer network for new speakers? I've yet to see an authorized dealer have them new for that price.
