I would use a software program such as Adobe Photoshop or Paint.net http://getpaint.net which is free and superimpose the Accuphase gear over both to give you a rough idea of which looks better.

If were my money would definitely go with the burl to contrast with the champagne of your Accuphase gear. To my eye, the birdseye is close enough to the champagne to wash out the highlights/details in both. As always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.........

My thoughts too -- or get a solid color instead. I hate to say piano black, but just did. IMO, regardless of trim/paint packages, the MXR series are the prettiest HRS racks made.

A poll would work (I love polls--remember?)

Best Sir,

Bob

Burl is stunning and would draw the eye to the cabinet and contrast beautifully with the Accuphase gear.

I think the darker color of the Burl looks richer. Agree with jmw31's comments.

Contrasting but “complimentary” colors is always a great thing. Champagne and Burl seems like a natural fit.

Ivan,
You would know but can't you custom paint the sides any color of your choosing? Carbon Fiber

Bob.......Ivan already has a black MXR HRS rack in his two channel room with the Wall-o-Mac. His Clearaudio Innovation Wood turntable and phono stage preamp are installed on it.
