Default Aurender Solid State Drive Cache

On the Aurender Music Server, I know that Files (songs) played from the Internal Hard Drives are Cached to the Solid State Drive. Are (songs) that are played from Tidal also Cached to the Solid State Drive. Thanks so much for everyone’s help. If they are does the HHD Icon also flash.

Jim.......You may want to direct that question to support@aurender.com .

Let us know what they say.

It’s an interesting question for a non-techy and what Dan recommends below makes sense - my opinion is it follows the same path but let’s see.

Aurender is very responsive and within the conductor you can find where to reach them

According to this article, Tidal sourced tracks are transferred to RAM first.

Serge.......Nice find. Seems to answer the question at hand. That review is dated, though. Aurender now offers the N100H in 4TB. I have one. Also, the Aurender Conductor App now allows Tidal integration with the Aurender library. You can save an album directly to the Aurender menu and play it without having to first go to the Tidal app. I can say this much, the Aurender N100H with the Schiit Audio Yggdrasil DAC is a force to be reckoned with. A first class source.

Thanks I was just curious where the Tidal Music, (files) were played from. I’m upgrading from the Aurender N100h to an N10. I’m really looking forward to hearing the difference, again bring the music [emoji445] to another level.

If you are going to use USB, the difference will be marginal between N100H and N10. The word clock inside the N10 is only used for the SPDIF connections.

I am using the N100H with my Aavik U-300 Amp/DAC, the Aavik has an galvanic separated USB input and onboard re-clocker, the combo works very well.

If your DAC has SPDIF inputs it can be nice upgrade.
