Default New Line of Focal Speakers

ListenUp Audio video has the entire 8th floor at RMAF 2017. Just got an email from them. Room 8024 will showcase a brand new speaker line from Focal. Electronics in the room will be from Naim.

There will also be something about this new line in the Cottonwood Room at Noon on Friday (Oct 6).

Looks like the new Kanta line will replace the Electra line. Here are specs for the Kanta #2. Very similar specs to the current Electra 1028 Be.

I listened to the Kanta 2’s several times, both on the 8th floor and in the large room on the lobby level. For a $10,000 price per pair, I thought they sounded good. One of the Focal executives told me that they were pre-production versions and the final production versions would sound better.

I agree, they actually sounded better than the sopra's that I heard in some rooms!

I love the Kanta 2's that I heard here at RMAF.

Funny when a company comes out with something way better than their current line at a lower price point. Seems counterintuitive at first.

I guess it is better to cannibalize your own sales than have someone else do it for you.

Bravo Focal for continuing to expand the price/performance of your range!

I'm looking forward to hearing them. I've been considering a purchase in the Sopra line.
