The Vivid Giya is certainly a possibility. My, untreated, room may be a problem as I sit 4.5 meters away from the speakers, the only way to find out is a home demonstration. Laurence is willing to arrange that if I decide to go down that route.
Thanks again.

Hi Colin,

That is good news!
Yes it is great to meet top loudspeaker designers, see what drives them, and find out that they are actually very nice people.
Good luck with your quest!
Burmester and Vivid Audio, you might already have found the holy grail...

Hi Bart,

I certainly hope so.

In 5 weeks time my wife, Chris, and I will be visiting The Barn to audition the G2s and G3s .

Hopefully Chris will be as understanding as Meta was .

Colin,

I'm sure she is.
Just take her favourite music with you, and make it a nice romantic weekend. You're near the coast there

Good luck!

Bart

Bart-

Thx again for answering my previous inquiries. As I am thinking through my "System" choices I have started focusing on the best amps to drive the G2's. Again I know a lot of this is preference and subjective but is the synergy of Burmester with the G2's a well know coupling?

I currently own the Krell EVO 600e monoblocks but extensive reading of this forum seems to point to the following amps:

1. Burmester 911 MKIII in Mono
2. D'Agostino Momentum Monos

I would create new threads in appropriate locations for these questions but I need my 10 posts first.

Any insight into my above mentioned amps (911, 600e, Momentum)? Have you heard the G2s with any of the mentioned?

Thanks again for your time.

Mike

Hi Mike,

You can always subscribe, then we can send you also PM's.
Vivid Audios are quite easy to drive.
They do not require huge amounts of power.
I heard them with Chapter Audio, Ayre monoblocks, Classe, Burmester, Belles monoblocks. They always came out brilliantly. I think even big tube amps would be nice (McIntosh 2301's? Audio Research?).
I would certainly audition them with your Krells. They seem to be very good amps.
It is indeed true that Burmester goes well together with them (in various shows we've seen the combination). Burmester is neutral towards the warm side of neutral, and Vivid Audio is neutral.
But other amps are surely also a splendid combination.

Good luck!

Bart
