Well, this is not a thing that might disappear, but rather a practice, a skill - dare I say an art?

Here's a link to an article in a recent edition of Philadelphia Magazine discussing penmanship. Not printing, but writing in cursive, the Palmer method and all that.

If this disappears, what does that mean for fine fountain pens or the dear old Ticonderoga Number 2? (is there a thread for "Show us your pens"?)

From what I've heard, they don't teach script in the schools around here anymore.

You are very correct. I cannot remember the last time I used cursive. My handwriting was always poor, I am sure that it would be unreadable now.
