Default AudioSyndrome Club and the NY Audio Society Demo

Memo: To All Bryston Customers (June 2011)
Subject: Demo for the Audio-Syndrome Club in New York

Hi Folks,

We did a demonstration for the AudioSyndrome Club and the NY Audio Society and demo-ed the 28B’s and the BP26 Preamp and the BCD=1 CD Player. Below are the comments:

“Well well well. It's a bird it's a plane no its Bryston the Super Hero. From CDP to 28Bs we were taken away to the recording event. First off a special thanks James Tanner, Chris Russel and the Engineering staff at Bryston. Chris coming down and presenting the wares with passion and professionalism. The Engineers pat yourselfs on the back, very well done. James for being James.

So what does a all Bryston system sound like. SS,? nope, tubey? nope. REAL as real can be for a reproduced sound. With Carver amazing speakers wonderfull. Tone, weight, slam, detail, grace, dead quite background with a natural ease. When we inserted the ML-1 References from Aussie land goose bumps I tell ya. Even with limited bass down to 48hz or so it was not an issue. At first listen maybe but that was soon forgotten. The midrange and top end performance will end the chase for most. A must hear with Bryston.

Being now a SET fan having used SS, tubes, hybrids I admit this demo challenged my preference. My nervosa is perking now James. There is really something to using a single Manufactures system. Especially yours. A lifetime guarantee, tone with conviction, what else could one want. Kudos.

We used some challenging CDs for the demo. Our sibilance and mid range barometer is Jacintha" Here's to Ben" on Fim XRCD. A close miked affair that not all systems can handle. Her voice was delivered with all the sensuous intimate cues that make you want to get up and kiss her. The sibilance was delivered naturally with no added zip. Very nice indeed. For bass, soundstage, air, dynamics and sheer Goosebumps RR-107 Virgil fox "The Bach Gamet" shook the house pushed some serious air. RR -906 Tutti track one " Dance of the Tumblers" awed all with its dynamics and slam. Oh my! RR-49 Testament track 5 "Allelujah" with the Turtle Creek Choir was huge, deep while able to hear individual voices in the massive Choir. Soundstaging was first class. DMP Big Band " Take the A Train" just blew us away, the horns had tone as well bite as in real life.

Amazing.

PRAt anyone? In spades the toes are a tapping. We threw it all at this system. The system handled it all. You get what you put in. What more can one ask.
