I'm a HUGE Shunyata fan. However in this case I suspect your results maybe mixed like mine were. I found when I plugged my MX-Rs into my Triton, it definately lowered the noise floor allowing more air, resolution, realism, less edge...however it also didn't quite have the same dynamics.

Big amps maybe best right to the wall with a good shunyata cord. However my frond end LOVES my Triton/Typhon/DPC-6 combo

Your mileage my vary. Or you may prefer a Cyclops for your amps...

Speakers: Rockport Altair 2
Preamp: Robert Koda K10 Amp: Ayre MX-R
Cables: Transparent Opus MM2 Spkr, Opus Gen 5 & Magnum Opus Interconnect
Power Shunyata Triton/Typhon/DPC-6, Anaconda Zitron cords (x9), Sigma HC (x1)
Digital dCS Vivaldi DAC, Transport & Clock w/ Transparent Reference XL Digital cables
Phono: Grand Prix Monaco TT, Spiral Groove Centroid, Jan Allaerts MC2 Finish & Lyra Atlas, Nagra VPS/VFS
Racks: Grand Prix Audio Silverstone F1 (x2)

I ran my XA160'5's (and still do my XA160.8's) direct to the wall (dedicated 20 amp circuit for each monoblock) with Furutech Flux-50s for filtration.

If you're looking for a power conditioner, check out the Torus RM-20, also sold as the Bryston BIT-20

I agree with Howard. This is the way to go in my opinion. The Flux-50 is one of the only filters that does not appear to limit dynamics. Of course, you should probably invest in whole-house surge supression as well.

When I had a single circuit I had everything plugged into my Triton. While it sounded great, if I really blasted the music the Triton breaker would trip. Later I had two 20 amp lines, one for each amp, installed, and it sounded great. At some point after that I installed a Cyclops for each amp and was amazed at the drop in noise, and harshness removed from that. I recently sent the Cyclops back to be upgraded to v2, and I was 'forced' to listen to the amps plugged directly into the wall. I almost couldn't stand it as the noise, haze, edginess returned.

Tonight I will be evaluating the performance of Cyclops v2. I already know the system sounds much nicer after installing them Wednesday night.
