RIP Peter Shaffer
The writer of the movie Amadeus has passed at the age of 90. The movie remains one of my favorites after all these years. It has perhaps the best movie soundtrack of all time given that the vast majority of the music in it is by Mozart.

Amadeus is my favorite movie and I've enjoyed watching it many times. I also saw the play in Chicago and it was extraordinary.
Thanks, Mr. Shaffer for sharing that treasure with us. |

My favorite work by him is Equus. I saw it during its first run in London and a few times here in the States. A devastating and intense psychological drama.
