I've been running in my new Everest for under 2 days now letting it settle in. I can report though even at this stage wow this handily beats the Typhon QR / Triton 3 combo that I was using previously. Absolutely amazing sounding. Caelin wasn't kidding when he said music emerges from a completely silent background. I'd say that the improvement from the Typhon QR / Triton 3 combo to the Everest is a much bigger one than say the Triton 1 to 2 or Triton 2 to 3. I also gave it a try on my AV system just to see compared to a Denali, and yes it handily beats the Denali in that situation too. I have noted that the mighty Typhon retains its benefits and does improve even the ridiculously great Everest. I did A/B using my Typhon QR with the Everest and a first gen Typhon that I picked up for a good price used as well. They both have additive benefits to the Everest and put the system to the moon!

Oh, about a week or so...ten days, maybe?

To be honest, I didn't track the duration of its settling super precisely, as it was so good, I just enjoyed it from the get-go.

Tv3 and TQR major "wow" milestones were roughly 100 hours, 225 and 280-350, then 500. I don't imagine that the Everest will be much different.

DMelby, my Denali SV2/Sigma XC sounded excellent with very positive results right out of the box. I do not burn in other than listening to 1 LP at a time since I do not currently do digital.

I am sure it will get even better over time but I am satisfied now!

Mark, I think your Tv3 was pre-KPIP processing. So the equipment shipping now all get a minimum of 4 days KPIP treatment. While this does not eliminate a settling period it does eliminate the radical rollercoaster ride of burn-in with its radical ups and downs.

I recommend that people just plug the new units in and play music and enjoy it as the unit settles. As Puma said, the initial improvement occurs in the first few day. Then, the subtle queues work themselves out.
