Indeed. But, the MR80 specs do not state that the 14.7dBf is for stereo. It, too, could be for monophonic. I'll dig up some spec's for a couple of other highly rated tuners from back in the grand "tuner era" and see how they compare.
OK.......... the Yamaha TX-1000, one of the most sensitive/selective tuners produced in the "great tuner era" (also when the MR80 was designed/produced) has a listed sensitivity spec of 15.3dBf for mono & 37.2 dBf in stereo. Would guess the spec for the MR80 is for mono and the Accuphase is right up there with the best. Of course, without a good antenna none of them will perform their best.
