Default Help me build a small audio system for my office

I could use some suggestions on creating an office system for my work. I have a budget of about $2k. I already own a Schiit Modi 3 DAC and this would be connected to my computer. Don’t need anything that plays physicial media. Everything will run through the computer and DAC. Currently using Audioengine powered speakers and Sub. Was thinking a small Amp and new speakers might up the quality. If I had the money I would get the Mcintosh desktop system but thats a little much at $6k. Upgraded powered speakers could be an option to limit the footprint. It doesn’t need to play really loud as it just for personal listening. I would like a small footprint vs a standard integrated amp as it has to sit on my desk. Something that’s a conversational piece never hurts.

Right now I’m leaning towards Dennis Had Amp and Dynaudio Excite speakers.

Other people’s thoughts, ideas and opinions.

Thanks for contributing

If you like the Dynaudio excite stuff, you should check out Dynaudio’s XEO series.

They are powered, and have the DAC, and even DSP integrated. Just add source and enjoy!

I have XEOs in my office and they are really good-

The Ps audio Sprout 100 and Kef 50 series speakers are a good combo.
Ivan can make the Sprout a great value.

I have read the reviews about the Kef 50s (all positive) and just noticed the Sprout. I will have to check that one out.
