There is such a limited amount of music in the higher rez issues whether it is SACD, XRCD, etc. Yes there is some great music but if you want popular titles and not "audiophile" recordings then you are SOL.

I just found Supertramp's Crime of the Century on SHM (super high material) on Amazon out of japan.

1) what is SHM and is it good?
2) will I reap the benefits on my MCD500?

I've been able to find quite a bit of XRCD that I enjoy daily. There is more added just about weekly. If everyone buys just a few them, the support for quality material will only make the XRCD grow. Why reward the crappy work of studios who produce the terrible sounding CD material when the XRCD guys bring us pure honey for the ears?

Is it me is the layout of that xrcd site horrible? How do you browse the library in any sort of efficient manner?
