NZ PDL 693/2 un switched double GPOs. You can run 2 separate circuits off 1 plug. These use a solid copper bus throughout, no brass unlike the typical Australian Clipsal or HPM. As this plug is AS-3112 compliant it should satisfy a sparky. Last edited by MyPal; 10-29-2013 at 09:07 AM. |

I can't say that I have....what plugs do they use?
The worst hotel plugs I've experienced were in Venice. Laptop killers! |

Steve, yes I recall your superior solution. If you like what you're hearing there is no reason to change. What i've learnt is it's not just the wiring options, but importantly the metallurgy and solid construction of the outlet and frame which influences the sound. Given I was already using cables with high end Oyaide connectors, there was natural synergy with the R1. That said, my sparky obviously could not and did not issue a certificate, and technically yes that means if your house goes up in smoke you can tear up your insurance policy, but given the robust build quality of the hardware & the extra safety steps taken by my electrician i'm fairly certain every other wpo in the house will fry before that one. How passionate are you about your audio system?

I'm thinking of going Shunyata Zitron Anaconda for the walls to Cyclops. Thankfully, an AU option too. (Apologies for deviating). |

I would agree, it really depends on source material, the S5 though in my opinion is better for everything except Classical and Jazz. |
