Steve.......Another thing I like about the VooDoo power adapter I have is it fits very snug in the 20 amp IEC socket on the PurePower 2000 and the 15 amp Furutech Flux 50 fits snug in the input side of the adapter. It makes for a secure connection on both sides. I would not be happy if it was a sloppy loose connection on either side.

Yes with the heavy PCords prevalent I'd thought the "play" in the insertions would've been

compensated for--hell Furutech are exemplary in that regard

But I have found a solution for the flexing join problems

I've use industrial grade heat shrink over the offending areas-taut as a drum now

easy to snip off if required at later date.

Voila!

Trying your methodology out on my Hydras may prove controversial. Given what the Flux-50s have already done inline at the component level & given your positive experiences at the power conditioner level, a Flux-50 hanging off the power inlet of a passive power conditioner is somewhat of a curiosity for me.

Steve.......I don't have a Flux 50 sitting passively on one of the PurePower 2000 output receptacles. The Flux 50 is plugged into the VooDoo 20 amp to 15 amp adapter which is in turn plugged into the PurePower 2000's 20 amp IEC input connector.

I would agree with you that adding a Flux 50 as a dongle on a power conditioner would very likely be ineffective compared to its performance in an AC power line that feeds a power conditioner or AC regenerator.

Now that I have read your post again, I realize you were speaking of using the Flux 50 on a passive power conditioner. Opps.

Yes, power in to power a passive power conditioner. It goes against the design philosophy of the manufacturer in question.

I have a Furutech Flux-50 NCF Filter coming tomorrow. (Thanks Ivan) I will be placing the filter between the wall outlet and my PS Audio PPP. My question is which end of the power cord to I plug the filter in? Into the wall outlet or into the PPP?
