Bart, you have accomplished a nearly impossible task - effectively acoustically treating a primary living space in a beautiful manner. Congratulations!

That looks great Bart - well worth all the effort by the sound of it!
Did you end up doing anything with the glass wall? It looks like you have a lounge along it part the way - I have a similar challenge with a very large glass sliding door with great views I don’t really want to impede.... |

Thank you for your kind words! If you look at the process of placement with Ben, you see he uses a little mirror to define the point of first reflection (treble and mids). My speakers are Vivids and do have quite some omnidirectional energy. By the way, on the sides, we have the red treatments in the armchair and sofa. Already after the placement of just the first black panel on the right side of the TV, which is also on the back wall, we heard a significant difference, which surprised us, as we hadn't expected it in this not so ideal room. The black panels have more impact on the end result than the red ones. The small blocks also are of big importance.

Randy, it might not be such an ideal room as yours - I'm a big fan of your bass adventures! - but it is our little slice of heaven, thank you!

Thanks. Appreciated! The plan was originally to also install roller blinds with acoustic properties. We might still do this, but the results are already exceeding our and Ben's expectations. The glass wall does suck bass, so Ben had some (a lot) of work with the speaker placement to bring the best bass response.

I really like the way the smaller black panels look. There's something behind my speakers, but that's "just the way it is". Not measured where it really should go.
How can I determine this myself ACCURACY, where such panels have to be glued. Somewhere further in the beginning I think there was something about the panels coming from Europe or even Germany. Great! I live in Germany.

Found it.
Puh, not inexpensive... I'll give it a try.

Not inexpensive, but all 8 panels and 2 small blocks were cheaper than one pair of my Wireworld Platinum interconnects.
