Many thanks,

In addition to the the new form factor, the Ref 3 has an extra pair of tubes.

Twud appear to be mainly an extra pair of 6h30's in the gain stage, latest passive components of choice out of the GS / SE program and a facial, possibly upgraded PS reserve?

Look!!!! This is not the tight wad attitude to adopt folks, I am in the market for a bargain one careful owner Ref2se, listen to my voice, only my voice, your eyelids are heavy as lead *****BUY THE REF3***** BUY THE REF3*****BUY THE REF3****

Good try but I'll keep my Ref 2SE in order to match with my preamp 5Se.
But I won't have the same limit for the ampli !!!!!

You should wait for the SE version. We all know that it will be offered in a few months, when the big sales of «not a SE» will be done.

I've never been a fanboy of any one company but when something is head and sholders above something I'll be the first to say so. I have the Ref 6 which replaced my 5SE. The leap in performance was not minor. A friend of mine came by this week and was astounded by the difference. He has the 5SE and plans to upgrade as soon as funds permit.
There is no reason to believe that the jump from 2SE wouldn't be of the same magnitude. These changes are not just cosmetic or adding two tubes, this is a complete redesign of the units. I urge you to have a listen before dismissing the upgrades.
