Would love to be there to peek in on Bryston. James T said the BDA-3 would be there!

So I came back (pictures will follow) my first time at an Audio Show, I was a bit surprised of the size it was at the beautiful Hilton. I thought it was going to be in large exposition hall instead of hotel rooms??? But then I realized, better in individual rooms so you can appreciate the sound of all the amazing systems. One thing that I can't believe is how bad some systems sound (don't these people audition their system against others before they spend all this money exposing theirs?) the good ones on the other hand, sound AMAZING....WOW.So I came back (pictures will follow) my first time at an Audio Show, I was a bit surprised of the size it was at the beautiful Hilton. Please also tell us the ones you thought sounded the worst since no professional audio journalists seem willing to go down that path for obvious reasons. We can all give the unsuccessful demos the benefit of the doubt due to show conditions and poor rooms etc but would love to hear your unvarnished opinions. Look forward to the pics.

Interesting. When I attend a show or demo equipment I remember the failures (in my opinion anyway...) as vividly as the successes, especially when they are from well known and generally highly regarded manufacturers. But I can see why others might not.

It was my first time at an audio Show, I looked around and tried to absorb everything. Next year I will to be more organized. I did thought about having a notepad to take notes and to write down some impressions on things that i can afford-Some things a SUPER expensive. What i did get out of the this show is, that my vintage system (even though not as expensive) sounds amazing - my wife is happy about that
