Thanks Randy, you have a bit extra adjustment available with subs, not so easy to get it right, but I agree that a monitor with subs can have a good result.

Last week I had some people from work over to listen to the set, non audiophiles, the declared me crazy when they found out what I paid for it and wanted to come over and listen. At the end of the evening I had to kick them out :-)

I love when that happens, though now when someone asks what I paid I just say they were expensive and let their imagination under-value them.

Estimated 300hrs now on the set, and I think the sound of both the Raidho X-1's and the JL Audio 110 Fathoms are still changing (for the better)

Last weekend I took the time to get the subs integrated as best as I could, what worked for me was to put the main speakers out of phase, play a 50Hz sinus and measure the sound pressure at the listening position. By moving the subwoofer and changing the phase/volume on the sub I could figure out the best position (lowest reading on the dB meter)

All in all it took me more than 5hrs, but the end result is very satisfying, subwoofer integration is seamless now, and the bass output is very fast and dry.

Amazing is also the low frequency output of the X-1's without the subs playing.
Ok, you will not fill the room with massive bass, but they definitely give a full bodied sound.

Enough writing, back to listening now, latest CD from Melody Gardot sounds fantastic again.

Fantastic system Olaf. I am a big fan of Raidho speakers. I bet it sounds totally sublime with the JL's.

Have you in the future considered to upgrade the Devialet 200 to a 400? I have a friend that has Raidho X1 and he thinks that going dual-mono with 400 is a really big step up with the X1 in audio performance.

Yes that was the original idea, but I won't invest more in Devialet, the 200 I have has already been back for a new power filter board (burning smell) and with every firmware upgrade the soundquality can change, not always for the better.

At the moment, with the latest firmware, it sounds good, and as it is my second set (away from home) I will keep it like that, and rather invest a bit more in my main set.
