One of my favorite movies of all time! I hope the sequel is at least a "good" one.

Another movie based on a fantastic Phillip K. Dick novel. It's called "Do Andriods Dream of Electric Sheep". If you haven't read it, go pick up a copy. It's fabulous.

Default Blade Runner 2049

Seems like Denis Villeneuve has the aesthetics, looks and feel just right. Not a copy of the first one but rather a refinement. Lets just hope the story is up to snuff. BTW...was that the body of a (Prometheus) Engineer in the stairway gallery* ?

Being a fan of Villeneuve's previous films, I'm very happy he is the director; IMHO he is the only one who could pull it off. Also looking very much forward how he is going to bring "DUNE" to the big screen.

Curious about the soundtrack of the trailer...which is a clear reference to Vangelis' incredible score. A big challenge for Johann Johannsson for sure. Once again, one of the only ones who could pull it off, considering his previous work.

*as there is a reference to the Tyrell Corporation in the extra's of the Prometheus BluRay (Original Alien Franchise) I wouldn't be surprised if Ridley Scott is trying to tie the two universes together, be it in a subtle way. Or they just could be having fun seeding Easter eggs.

I have to say that I agree that there appears to be an effort to tie the Blade Runner universe into the Alien universe. Hopefully this movie will add to the suspense, but it may be so subtle that it will keep the fans guessing for time to come. Another interesting item is that from the trailer sequences there has been a significant decline and decay from 2019 to 2049. I hope this movie explores the transition of what took place over the 30 years.

Rush lyrics, from The Body Electric, "One humanoid escapee. One android on the run. Seeking freedom beneath a lonely desert sun."

Regards
