Yes it does. At least the VTA Lifter2 does (don't know about the original). All you need is the right armboard. I have it on my Ovation.

I would love to have the Universal arm on mine. The Clarify arm sounds fantastic, but the magnetic bearing is very finicky and sensitive. It takes very little to upset it.

Thank you. That's very helpful. I can't see an appropriate armboard in the Clearaudio catalogue - I'll call the distributor in the US for some help.

I assume that you bought the table with the VTA lifter installed?

No, I installed it afterwards. It requires an armboard with a larger cutout for the VTA Lifter. I think it is about $350. Only difference is I have the Clarify arm, but it's the same mount as the Universal. They might have to order it from Germany. That was the case for me. I ended up not getting the color I wanted (asked for silver, got black), but I didn't want to hassle with changing it and I got a great deal anyway.

Wish I had the piano black Ovation. I'll bet it looks awesome.

I contacted Musical Surroundings and they explained that the Universal tonearm w/ VTA lifter would sit too high on the Ovation - shout out to those guys for their quick and thorough responses. Will probably hang onto it in case I use the Clarify arm or upgrade to an innovation!

The folks at Musical Surroundings are great. I had questions about my Nova Phonomena and they put me in touch with the designer. Joe Wessling and Mike Fajen provide great support as well.

I'm using the new Ovation with an Audio Note IQ3 cartridge through a Conrad Johnson Premier 15 phono. Rest of my electronics are Conrad Johnson as well.

Not quite as exotic as my predecessor, but none the less very satisfying to me.

Yesterday, I mounted a Clearaudio Magnify arm I am auditioning for the next few days. Initial impressions are that it has more weight in the midrange, better control in the bass, and improved stability overall. It is installed with the VTA Lifter2 I already had.

The headshell has the thinnest leads I have ever seen.
