What Do You Fill your stand With?

I have a VPI turntable stand that is filled with a fine grey sand. I bought it used and it came that way. But now I am moving half way across the country and can't see bringing the sand. Once I am moved, what should I fill the stand back up with? I am not even sure where I would find the fine grey sand.

So I am curious what others use to fill their stands. Is there something better than sand?
