Default Norah Jones - 'Not to Late'

Most colored vinyl I own generally sounds fine .... I know many people have an aversion to colored vinyl but in my experience there has been no significant increase in surface noise or anything else to distract from the music. Maybe I have been lucky but I have colored vinyl that sounds really good. It certainly is not mutually exclusive. Picture discs are an entirely different story in my experience.

That is a really good story! Expensive LP find. There is a new pressing soon to be released (3/8/2019), fingers crossed they do not ruin it with the new 2019 mastering.

I realize audiophiles are known to rarely if ever agree on anything, but I agree completely with the post above!

ooh oooh.. lemme google!

If there was one thing I didn't like about the Simply Vinyl - it was the excessive sibilance I got on Tequila Sunrise.

I love my Simply Vinyl even though I paid the hefty used market price. That being said I need to check out this new issue also!

Another LP “DOH” - In the haste to pre-order the new release of Breakfast in America I totally forget that I had pre-ordered it months in advance. I ended up with THREE copies! Opened one, gave another for a Xmas gift, and the third is still in the cardboard shipper!

I tend to avoid colored vinyl other than as a collectible curiosity. However, the latest Van Morrison Veedon Fleece on emerald green vinyl sounds amazing!

Groovy chemistry: The materials science behind records.

From wax to vinyl, chemistry shaped the history of recorded sound.
