Cisco, looking forward to the pics. Nothing like the holidays and the lights of Marantz and McIntosh.

Dave
I decided to DC the Mc's this 4th of July weekend (and maybe beyond??) and power up the Marantz up with the Duettes.

This is probably a very unusual combo....a 32+ year old receiver worth a few hundred hooked up to a pair of 14K speakers. The sound?......pretty damn good ...get a wooden cab and it's something I could easily live with but......no remote

'cisco.......Use the Tape Outputs on the Marantz to the McIntosh C220, and you have a beautful Marantz tuner. Then, use the line output from the C220 to the Aux input on the Marantz, and use the Marantz to power a seperate set of speakers in another location where seperate volume control would be useful, like on a deck. That will allow you to play whatever is on the main system at another location, and control the volume independently.

Thanks guys for the nice comments.

Dan.......thanks for the flow chart, much appreciated I find it hard to listen to FM now 'cause of LastFm on Sonos....endless commercial free music....you can't beat that. I was even considering a vintage Marantz 1060 integrated for that particular purpose.

mmm.....Pete, it's a shame you don't have a 1060 rather than a 1030....I would be eyeing your unit.
