Default Cable TV Ground Loop Isolator

I'm getting a hum from my speakers that is coming from my new-to-me integrated amp. It is coming from all input sources and is NOT coming from the amp. With the help of Google, I found the source of the hum coming from my LED TV cable connection....when it's disconnected....no hum is present. Dan had recommended the VSIS-EU Cable TV Ground Loop Isolator in another thread....anyone using this little gadget with success??? The funny thing is....with the Mc...there was no hum at all.

I believe I will need two RG6 75 ohm F-Type connectors to connect to the "Ground Loop Isolator" to make a perfect seamless connection.

btw...the integrated is the CJ CA200....which once belonged to Stephen (twodot)....before that it belonged to Joe (joeinid) and before that Howard (hkval). I think that's the correct time line. and it is in Beautiful condition...... I'll post pics in the CJ forum at a later date.

I have no experience with that Viewsonics, but there's also the Iso-Max. If this is 60Hz hum from the cable line, the Iso-Max will get rid of it.

Be warned, though, in some cases these devices can inadvertently filter out some channels.

I just ordered the Viewsonics and I "Hope" it solves the hum problem and it doesn't filter out some cable channels. If it does...I may have to say bye-bye to the CJ. I need a multi-purpose amp.

If it doesn't, I may consider one.

If the Viewsonics doesn't work out for you, let me know, I have a spare Iso-Max here.

I ordered a Viewsonic, also from Amazon and also using the AA link. My cable feed goes through a Furman Elite PF15-i before it gets to the cable box, and I found that adding the Iso-Max took out some channels (none I watch regularly, though). The Viewsonic's price is so low, less than the Iso-Max, I figured what the heck, I'll try it.

It seems to me also that the connection needs a day or two to settle in before really seeing if channels get lost or not. I had channels (MSG, in particular) which were there at first, and a day or so later weren't. I also wonder about the overall signal strength, which at one point was determined to be weak a while back; perhaps that has an impact.

I also ordered some jazz by Rob McConnell, whom I've heard on the Jonathan Schwartz radio show. Good stuff.

Success

The Viewsonic worked as advertised.....that little sucker really took out the hum (dead silent now) and It didn't filter out any cable channels.
