I'm watching this, about thirty minutes in and I've been close to tears many times already. Haven't watched a documentary that hit this close to home in a long time. The Bascom Avenue store in Campbell, Ca got most of my paycheck every Tuesday and I sometimes wrote checks against my upcoming Thursday paycheck. Back to the show...

'cisco.......Thanks for the memories. I spent a lot of time and money at Tower Records in San Francisco back in the late 60's and early 70's. The store was open seven days a week from 9 AM until midnight. I loved going down to Tower Records late at night. I remember the average record price was $2.99. I miss those days.

Tower Records was my favorite store back when I first started collecting music. I used to spend tons of time on their listening stations........I remember that being the place that first introduced me to Holly Cole among tons of other artists that I may not have been familiar with. The one here in Atlanta always had a pretty nice "audiophile" section too that was pretty heavily stocked with SACDs during the late 90's. Really missed it when they closed.
