The lower resolution you talk about of Rhapsody and Pandora while not perfect, sound quite acceptible for finding new music, previewing cd's/Lp's before you buy them. It is also great for background music. Dan used to have the same attitude you have before he added a sonos to his system. You are a smart guy, why not give the sonos a try in your own system; you might be pleasantly surprised.
David.......Pardon me for butting in on what Serge said, but I took his comments as his observation on you saying that 90% of your listening was to Sonos.

David, if I could hear a difference between FLAC and the original recording both through MDA1000, I can surely hear a difference between lower resolution streaming music from Pandora, Rhapsody and others. Now, you are right that it is not such a bad thing to have for casual/background listening and previewing music sort of speak. As far as Sonos, I have 8 units on order.

I admit it too. Atleast 75 % of this are my own music recorded lossless on my computer in itunes. The midi is set to 24/96 on the computer . You are not butting in Dan.

Speaking of premium fuel for the sound system, I'm looking forward to my new CD's from Mapleshade. Should be here Thursday.

Mapleshade is definitely of the "high octane" variety as long as you like the music content. I love jazz and blues so I have plenty to choose from over at the Mapleshade catalog.
