I really hope that it will arrive in perfect conditions so you can get your unit back in working order.

Just have to wonder why they have to ship it in a special case , as i would expect them to ship in a case thats safe enough to arrive in working conditions.

The unit is very intricate. I jokingly call it a bank vault as it really clamps the disc. Lots of mechanical movement with the tray. Perhaps they want to insure that it survives the "tossing around" it will likely receive while en route. Best of luck to you.

Its hard to believe that this is the first time they have had to replace a transport but it doesn't seem like they are prepared for this need either. I had hoped this would go faster (now a month since I sent it for repair).
If this is the case, I'm surprised it didn't happen to me first. I have become accustomed to perplexed looks and the comment "well, THIS has never happened before" for so many things in my life. It's the reason I won't have Lasik. I also frequently hear "this happens less than 1% of the time." But I always seem to be in the 1%. Shouldn't whoever is controlling statistics in the universe spread that out so that more can 'enjoy' the privilege? And it's never the exceptionally good thing; it's always the exceptionally bad thing.

Anyhow, on behalf of other US owners who may someday need a replacement transport, thank you for being a trail blazer and the alpha case study so that they'll now have the proper packaging for safe shipment of any others that need to come this way. One small step for man, yada, yada...

Dear Ariess six days since your lsast message – so, has the unit arrived back safely with you yet?

Any news?

Cheers from far away in Perth.
