Default Magico M3's on order!

After listening to these, I was utterly lost. I had no clue that a speaker could produce such remarkable clarity. From top to bottom, these loudspeakers are flawless.

I auditioned many, many speakers over the past couple months, and the M3s, in my taste, were ahead of the pack by miles. All of my favorite music was new all over again and I am simply smitten over these.

My beloved 802's are going in for trade, they served me well as my first "real" speaker, and brought me hundreds of hours of joy. I cared for them like my second child, and I hope that they end up in a home in which they will be revered, just like they were in mine. But the time has come, and so has my itch. It's time to move up.

It will take Magico 2-3 months to make these 320 pound, carbon fiber laden beauties.

I thought I would include a photo of them as well (borrowed from Magico.net)

Aditya.......Congratulations. The Magico M3 is an impressive speaker. It has received favorable response from owners and reviewers. I have a feeling the M3's may be your last speaker. They are beautiful. Looking forward to reading your review.

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes I certainly intend on it, at least for the next 15-20 years!

WOW, now that is a serious upgrade. You are freaking shooting for the moon this time. Congrats and enjoy them, I doubt you'll be parting with them for many many years to come. They are keepers.

Congrats!! I heard 3 different rooms at RMAF that used different models of Magico speakers and they all sounded good.

Very nice choice, Congrats. I'm not trying to start a debate about your choice but I'm curious to hear about others you auditioned. M3 will be special.

Thank you so much for the good thoughts everyone! For now, I didn't get the M-pods but my dealer told me I could easily add them on at a later point.

Sure, I'm happy to list them. As we all know, speakers are very personal to everyone. Beauty is in the eyes (or should i say ears) of the beholder! I'm sure people will disagree that Speaker X is WAY better than speaker Y and the other way around. It's just the M3 was the perfect speaker for my taste and the type of music I listen to most (vocals, jazz, classical). Here goes:

1. Wilson Alexia
2. Wilson Alexx
3. SF IL Cremonese
4. SF Lillium
5. Focal Utopia Scala
6. Focal Utopia Maestro
7. Focal Utopia Stella
8. B and W 800
9. Magico S7
10. Magico S5

Impressive list with some difficult choices I'm sure. I'd like to hear the Alexx soon. Alexia 2, ill hear next month. I know you said the M3's were miles ahead but how did they compare to the S7 & S5?
