Default Preamp Tubes--Which Types are the Most Musical Sounding?
In my experience one of the most musical sounding preamp tubes for Jazz is the sweet little Western Electric 396A.

For classical music I prefer Telefunken ECC81 for its accuracy.

What are your picks?
