I am of the school of “simpler is usually better” if parts are similar quality.
You will never know unless you try one. I think you might want to keep your 75SE if you have easy to drive speakers. I'm currently running a GS-150 with my Alexia's and have also wondered if the 160s would be better. I'm sure it is, in a technical sense, and it looks even better than my gorgeous GS-150. However, I don't hear a huge difference between all these and feel that it comes down to what you are trying to drive. If you aren't underpowered and you like what you have, it's probably more "bang for the buck" to upgrade your preamp (not sure what you have though).
