Since this thread is revived, let me throw out my plug for HD Radio. I recently upgraded my MAC6700 from the base TM-3 to the HD enabled TM-2 and I am amazed by the sound quality. It appears you need a past model McIntosh to get the HD option, though, since home audio in general seems to have thrown in the towel on HD (I heard it was because the people making the chips decided to focus on the automotive market). Sony makes a pretty reasonably priced stand-alone HD tuner that you can find on the auction sit for around $200, or you can still pick up a used MR-88 which tunes HD for quite a bit more $$$. Well worth it if you like listening to the radio though.
