Agree. Never say never or always. It depends on the speaker and the music you listen to. The speaker is the key. However, for an XRT2.1K no question I would go with either 3 MC2KW's or 2 MC2301's and 1 MC1.25KW per channel.

The Aquaman movie can require nearly 1,000 watts from my Thor and it is extremely efficient.
