You're quite welcome - I was in the industry for 20yrs and trained professionals while employed at this little company called Rockford Fosgate. As this topic came up so much with our dealers, and everyone had a different spin on it, we had our competitive analysis dept do a comprehensive study and all myths dispelled. When we taught dealers how to take this into account in the system design phase, their returns would drop to near zero.
Serge - I stand by my remarks as factual. Incidentally, the guy that did the study mentioned above went on to found Cogent Audio Labs here in Mesa. The guy that created the DD-1 was also a coworker and went on to found D'Amore Engineering and Diamondboxx. Both are very close friends and mentors.
